Trish
Financial Coordinator
Her Story
Growing up in Piedmont, California, Trish was surrounded by dentistry from an early age. With both her father and brother practicing as dentists, she developed an appreciation for the profession and the relationships it creates with patients and families. She brings more than 28 years of dental experience to Polished Dental Studio, including time as an oral surgery assistant before managing her family’s thriving dental practice in the Bay Area.
Beyond Dentistry
Trish has been married for 24 years and is the proud mom of a 13-year-old daughter, whom she and her husband adopted at birth. Outside the office, she enjoys scuba diving, deep-sea fishing, gardening, baking, reading, skiing, and golfing.

Liz
Business Administrator
Her Story
Born in Mexico, Liz moved to the United States when she was five years old, spending her early childhood in Washington before eventually settling in California. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from California State University, Los Angeles, where she developed strong communication and problem-solving skills.
After her husband, who has worked in dentistry for many years, encouraged her to explore a career in the field, Liz discovered how much she enjoys helping patients feel welcomed, informed, and comfortable from the moment they walk through the door. Fluent in both English and Spanish, she loves connecting with patients from all backgrounds and believes that a warm smile and positive attitude can make all the difference in someone’s day.
As one of the first friendly faces patients meet, Liz hopes everyone leaves feeling genuinely cared for and happy to be part of the Polished Dental Studio family. Her natural charisma, optimism, and passion for helping others make her a valued member of the team.

Outside the office, Liz enjoys hiking, dancing, learning to play tennis, and spending time with her husband of 15 years. She loves staying active and is excited for the future as they look forward to starting a family together.

Kim
Registered Dental Hygienist
Her Story
A Reno native, Kim grew up in Northwest Reno and graduated from McQueen High School before earning her dental hygiene degree in Mesa, Arizona. Although she enjoyed her time in Arizona, she always knew Northern Nevada would be home and returned to Reno after graduation.
Kim has been married to her high school sweetheart since 2007, and together they have three wonderful children—two daughters and a son—who keep life full with sports, school activities, and family adventures.
What Kim loves most about being a dental hygienist is building lasting relationships with her patients. She believes every appointment should be comfortable, personalized, and centered around helping people feel genuinely cared for. Whether she’s welcoming a familiar face or meeting someone for the first time, her goal is to create a positive experience while helping every patient achieve a healthy, confident smile.
Beyond Dentistry
Outside the office, Kim enjoys camping, traveling, and making memories with her family and friends. She treasures quality time together and loves creating traditions her children will remember for years to come.

April
Registered Dental Hygienist
Her Story
Originally born in Florida, April spent much of her childhood growing up in southern Mississippi, where she first discovered her passion for dental hygiene while in the tenth grade. Drawn to the science behind dentistry—from anatomy and chemistry to radiographs and instrumentation—she knew early on that she wanted a career where she could combine healthcare, education, and helping others. Inspired by the positive experiences she had with her own family dentist, she pursued her dream and earned her Associate of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene in 2003.
Throughout her more than 30-year career in dentistry, April has worked in pediatric, special needs, orthodontic, periodontal, and general dentistry, bringing a wealth of experience to every patient she cares for. She is passionate about helping patients feel relaxed, comfortable, and confident during their appointments. Rather than lectures, she believes every visit should include gentle encouragement, genuine conversation, and maybe even a few laughs along the way.
In 2024, April moved to Reno after she and her husband—who dated on and off for more than 15 years—finally made wedding plans and began their next chapter together.
Beyond Dentistry
When she’s not in the office, April enjoys spending time outdoors, reading about health and science, visiting family and friends, and relaxing with her husband and their beloved cat, Guppy.

Kyle
Lead Dental Assistant
His Story
Born in Reno and raised in California, Kyle discovered his passion for dentistry at an early age. His mother worked as a dental assistant and often brought him to the office after school, where he helped around the practice and became fascinated by patient care and dental procedures. Those early experiences inspired him to pursue a career where he could help others feel comfortable and confident.
Today, Kyle’s favorite part of dentistry is helping patients feel safe in an environment that can often feel intimidating. Known for his calm demeanor, positive attitude, and reassuring presence, he strives to make every patient feel at ease from the moment they sit in the chair. He hopes each person leaves their appointment feeling relieved, cared for, and smiling.
Beyond Dentistry
Outside the office, Kyle enjoys taking his Jeep on adventures, spending time outdoors, watching movies, gaming, and trying just about any new hobby that comes his way. At home, he’s also kept company by his Russian Blue cat, Pretty.

Michelle
Dental Assistant
Her Story
Born and raised in Carson City, Michelle began her career in dentistry by working part-time in the front office. What started as a new opportunity gradually led her into sterilization and eventually into chairside assisting, where she discovered how much she enjoyed working directly with patients.
Michelle loves being part of a team that feels more like family and values the relationships she builds with both coworkers and patients. Her goal is to help every person feel cared for, seen, and heard throughout their visit. She wants patients to know that their comfort matters and that she genuinely cares about making their experience at Polished Dental Studio a positive one.
Known for her reliability and willingness to step in wherever she is needed, Michelle is always looking for ways to support the team and help the day run smoothly. She especially enjoys meeting new patients, assisting during treatment, and helping people feel comfortable in the dental chair.
Beyond Dentistry
Michelle has been married for 32 years after meeting her husband on a blind date. Together, they have two children: a daughter who lives in Texas and a son who currently attends the University of Nevada, Reno. Their family also includes Marshall, a beloved Chiweenie who enjoys treats and daily walks with his neighborhood dog friends.
Outside the office, Michelle enjoys photography, hiking, traveling, listening to music, and spending time with her family. She is also a passionate wrestling fan and has a special interest in World War II and Vietnam War history.
